Red Juggernaut Launches New Game Company, Lineup Games Industry Veterans Create Innovative Board Games in a New, Vibrant Fantasy World
Seattle, Wash. – January 23, 2007 – Red Juggernaut announced today they were officially launching their new company and brand, based on the spirit of innovation in board games and the excitement of participating in a huge, vibrant original fantasy setting called the World of Terris. The first game, "Battue: Storm of the Horse Lords," will be available in April at game retailers everywhere. "We formed Red Juggernaut to bring a new philosophy to the development of and interaction with board games," said Jim Long, CEO of Red Juggernaut. "When you play a game like Battue: Storm of the Horse Lords, set in the World of Terris, you're participating in a historical event in that world. Later, you might play a different game whose events are directly affected by what happens in Battue: Storm of the Horse Lords. It's a vibrant, shared fantasy world that involves the players like no other." The World of Terris was developed by Long, Executive Vice President Jon Leitheusser, and renowned fantasy author Robin D. Laws. The Red Juggernaut team has won multiple awards, including several prestigious Origins Awards, for game design and authorship in the past. All of Red Juggernaut's games are designed to be expandable; the first expansion for Battue: Storm of the Horse Lords is scheduled for release in June 2007, and more games and expansions will follow soon after.
